  1. What was your motivation in linking to it to the stumbling and mumbling post? Was it to point out some solid argumentation against libertarian thought? If so, do you believe this met that standard?

Most arguments I have read from this guy seems to be inconsistent, incoherent, based upon incorrect facts with no clear regard for the distinction between facts and values.

Just wondering why you would value this post enough to put it at one of the top four posts worth reading.

    • Good question!

I sometimes like to link to stuff I don’t agree with or that I think is plain wrong. The reasoning behind this strategy is to try and kickstart more dialogue about unpopular ideas within libertarian circles. So, for instance, you argue that Dillow’s posts are “inconsistent, incoherent, based upon incorrect facts with no clear regard for the distinction between facts and values,” which is a fair critique, but I’m more interested in knowing why you think so.

Dillow’s arguments are excellent as far as Marxists go, and he’s already got a leg up on most libertarians because he actually tries to grapple with our arguments, which is something libertarians haven’t been doing for quite some time.

Please keep it civil
