Lucas G. Freire lives with his wife Emma and daughter Cecilia in Potchefstroom, South Africa. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Philosophy of South Africa’s North-West University.

Lucas has taught International Relations at the universities of Exeter, where he obtained his PhD, and Plymouth (UK). His current research and writing focuses on Christian political philosophy and the norms and institutions of international relations in the ancient Near East. With Edwin van de Haar, Lucas runs the Facebook networking group ‘Libertarianism and IR‘. Check out his personal website.
