Derrill Watson is an associate professor of economics at Tarleton State University in Texas. He earned his PhD in economics from Cornell University and his BA, in the same discipline, from Brigham Young University.
He wrote a textbook, with Per Pinstrup-Andersen, on food policy in developing countries. Check it out. He is also a Senior Editor at Food Security. His research interests are in food policy and development economics, while his teaching interests span macroeconomics, econometrics, public choice economics, international economics, and money & banking (as well as his research interests).
Dr Watson has served as a consultant for the World Bank and UNU-WIDER, taught economics in Nigeria and South Africa, taught English conversation in Germany, and taught religion courses through the LDS CES system.
