Eye Candy

Just below the fold.

This map shows the average Internet usage of the observed nodes over a 24-hour period. Look closely to see the traffic move with the daylight.

  1. Italians are the earliest Europeans to reach high-traffic during daytime. America is surprisingly green, although that may be due to the spread of American population. So many interesting patterns from this graph. I love it!

    • Thanks John.

I noticed the Italian pattern too. Do you think it has something to do with their siestas?

Also interesting was the high usage in places like China and Iran, if only because a lot of previous internet usage maps tended to black them out. I am trying to figure out why these earlier maps showed blackouts.
