Matthew Strebe is a (f)unemployed philosopher living on savings while exploring the mysteries of the world. Truth claims his only allegiance, and all his ramblings, contradictory as they are, stem from his pursuit of this most elusive of beasts. His main areas of interest are in philosophy, classics, languages, literature, history, and science. His greatest formative influences are all dead white males (litigators may inquire within): Marcus Aurelius, Socrates, Aristotle, Diogenes, Immanuel Kant, Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche, Edmund Burke, Thomas Hobbes, and J.R.R. Tolkien, to name a few. Although people call him a reactionary and an asshole, he prefers the term “social anarchist,” a philosophy he is working on in a piecemeal and thoroughly lazy fashion. Some of his work may be found here, and his personal blog is here.
